Thank God for radio that beamed music, even to rural Warren County, Georgia. I can't imagine those growing up years, of back breaking farm work, fun filled Saturday nights and all-day in Church Sundays, without the songs that made life bearable then and more memorable, now. Listening to a stew of pop, rhythm and blues, gospel, folk, rock, classical, jazz and show tunes, along with the influence of teachers, Steve Herron, Keith Miller, Ronnie Wells and the late L. Smith and numerous performers helped me find my voice.

Since college television news photography has been my daytime profession, first at WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina, and now at WJZ-TV in Baltimore, Maryland. But, as soon as I put down the camera, I turn to singing, working out a new song on the guitar, seeking out a jam session, or trying to find a music gig. Those performances have included the Stefan Scaggiari Trio, Annapolis Junction, a twenty piece big band, and others at clubs and private parties in the Baltimore-Washington region.

This recording {short description of image}, my first release is dedicated to all those who created the river of music I draw from. I hope you enjoy my contribution.

{short description of image} FALLING (Russ Moss) 3:15 - This is my salute to Motown and all those danceable rhythm and blues tunes from the sixties... and a stab at that age-old question... listen to your mind or heart?
{short description of image} SIZZLE (Turn it up, Turn it up) 3:27 (Russ Moss) - Jazz Diva, Ethel Ennis, inspired this slightly naughty show tune that stirs up the energy of Fatts Waller and those who know how to laugh and have fun.
{short description of image} YOU SEND ME 5:07 (Sam Cooke) - "You Send Me" still sends me... what more can I say?
{short description of image} I'M GLAD (Russ Moss) 3:25 - I'm glad there is still love... after the fighting is over!!!!
{short description of image} ONE NIGHT STAND (Russ Moss) 3:24 - Come on... you've at least entertained the idea!!
{short description of image} SOON 4:09 (Music, John E. Starr, Jr., Words, Russ Moss) - Time with those you love always ends too soon.
{short description of image}  I CAN'T GIVE YOU ANYTHING BUT LOVE 3:52 (Dorothy Fields & Jimmy McHugh) - One my favorite songs. The band takes me on a musical rodeo ride... fun fun fun!
{short description of image} LOOKIN (John Seay) 5:45 - "Looking"... for that right one is somewhere between a blues and a slow rock. Baltimore songwriter John Seay wrote a jewel.
{short description of image} TIME (Russ Moss) 3:17 - Time is tick... tick... ticking away... live fully.
{short description of image} CELEBRATE 3:39 (Russ Moss/ arrangement John E. Starr, Jr.) - All-purpose holiday song that moves from a ballad, to latin, to swing.
{short description of image} I'LL BE SEEING YOU 3:55 (Irving Kahal/ Sammy Fain) - It's hard not to get teary with this song. It brings to mind loved ones... many who are no longer with us.
{short description of image} THIS IS MY PRAYER (Russ Moss) 3:10 - A universal prayer for peace, love, and sharing done in gospel style.
{short description of image} ANOTHER NEW YEAR (Russ Moss) 1:54 - We really do need some NEW New Years' songs! Here's to you.
